Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
IndieWall ("we", "us") is an advertising board for indie mobile apps and games, operated by Francesco Cogliandro. This policy explains what personal data we process when you use the site.
For privacy requests, contact the operator via francescocogliandro.com.
2. What data we collect
When you publish or manage an ad, we process:
- Contact email (to identify your ads, let you manage/extend/delete them, and send Stripe Checkout receipts when payments are enabled)
- Listing content you submit (app name, tagline, icon URL, store links, category, platform, pricing model, grid position and size, duration)
- Payment-related identifiers from Stripe when you pay (e.g. Checkout session IDs), not full card numbers — Stripe processes card data
- Click counts and listing timestamps (created, paid, expires)
When you browse the board, we process a random session ID stored in your browser's local storage so we can show an approximate live visitor count. We do not use that ID to identify you as a person.
We do not require an account. We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data.
3. Why we use your data
- Provide and display ads on the public board
- Process payments and activate, extend, or remove listings
- Let you look up and manage ads with your email
- Operate presence counts and basic service reliability
- Comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse
Legal bases under EU/UK GDPR (where applicable): contract (publishing and paying for a slot), legitimate interests (board operation, fraud prevention, anonymous-ish presence), and legal obligation when required.
4. Who we share data with
We use processors to run IndieWall:
- Stripe — payments and Checkout (see Stripe Privacy Policy)
- Google Firebase / Firestore — storage of listings and presence heartbeats
- Hosting / infrastructure providers that serve the website (e.g. when deployed on a cloud host)
Public visitors can see listing content you choose to publish (app name, creative, store links, etc.). Your contact email and Stripe IDs are not shown on the public board.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Retention
- Active and expired listings (including contact email) are kept as needed to run the board, support manage/extend flows, and keep a record of paid placements
- Presence session records expire after a short idle window (on the order of under a minute)
- Payment records may be retained as required for accounting and Stripe's own retention
You can request deletion of your listing via the manage page or by contacting us. We may keep minimal records if needed for disputes, fraud prevention, or law.
6. Cookies and local storage
IndieWall does not rely on advertising cookies. We store a random presence session ID in local storage for the live visitor counter. Stripe Checkout may set cookies on Stripe's domain when you pay.
7. International transfers
Processors such as Stripe and Google may process data in the EU, UK, US, or other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses) offered by those providers.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in Italy: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
To exercise rights related to your ads, use Manage by email or contact us via the link above.
9. Children
IndieWall is aimed at developers and businesses. It is not directed at children under 16. If you believe we hold data from a child, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of IndieWall after an update means you accept the revised policy.
